License to Pawn-rick Harrison
I really enjoy the show Pawn Stars, and I think Rick's new book is terrific.
There's a great quote from his Dad- the Old Man;
"People want to know the secret to success. Here's mine;I worked seven days a week, ten hours a day, for ten years without a Vacation. That ain't a secret, that's life. I had to do that to make this place work. i was so damn stubborn I wouldn't quit. I didn't know how it was gonna work, and I didn't know if it was gonna work. I just knew I had to be here to make it work. it wasn't gonna happen all by itself."
An absolute must read, terrific book!!

The Big Red Machine

Australia's F1 race;
Red Bulls wins without using KERS? That's scary for all the other teams.
McLaren's sudden found speed? Big gains for McLaren, but a broken floor for Hamilton. I think reliability may still bite them.
Ferrari? Plenty of speed, but need to fix the tire issues, and C'mon Massa, let's pick it up.
Renault to third? By far the best story of the weekend. Congrats to the Petrov and the Renault team.
Great weekend for Yamaha
Melandri wins First, Checa Second, Biaggi loses mind

Congratulations to Marco Melandri for his first win in WSBK. The second race saw Carlos Checa fight back and claim the second race, and solidy his Championship lead for Ducati. Max Biaggi had a terrible weekend, blocking Melandri in Qualifying (allegedly) , but even worse, getting DQ's for not pitting after a drive through penalty.
Motoblog.it has all the drama!!

FAA approves Ipad for Pilot's Charts

This is another step taken by Apple to dominate the tablet market. I've already said that textbooks are going to be gone in 5 years or less, and it will be a huge war between Amazon and apple over that, but the market for putting tablets in vehicles, and other modes of transportation is huge.
I predict that you are going to see more and more tablets put in use in logistics and sales functions for mobile sales and shipping/delivery of goods. You won't be signing manifests and packing slips anymore, you'll be signing a digital tablet screen and wireless transmitting it for instant payment.
